The annual Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association (IDCCA) County Chairs’ Brunch is the premiere Democratic event in the State of Illinois. Every August, since 1987, thousands of Democrats descend on Springfield for Democrat Day or (Governor’s Day) at the Illinois State Fair. The County Chairs’ Brunch is the inspiring morning kickoff event.

The IDCCA County Chairs’ Brunch is the main fundraiser for the IDCCA. The IDCCA County Chairs’ Brunch, however, has always been more than just a fundraiser. It brings together Party Leaders, members, partners, and elected officials and hopefuls from across the state at the start of the campaign season.

Our organization takes great pride in the annual County Chairs’ Brunch. Over the past four years, it has grown larger and more successful because of the dynamic speakers and growing numbers of active Democrats. This event can draw anywhere between 1,000 to 3,000 Democrats.

With the assistance of lead IDCCA supporter Senator Dick Durbin, we have attracted top level elected Democrats including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, former Vice President Joe Biden, US Senator Jon Ossof (GA), US Senator Amy Klobuchar (MN), US Senator Tim Kaine (VA), and former South Bend (IN) Mayor and US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

The IDCCA is a statewide organization comprised of Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ from all 102 Illinois counties. We were formed over 50 years ago to support the political agenda of our Party through grassroots organizing, party building, and helping elect Democrats using the County Party structure. Every Democrat, everywhere, counts. Learn more about the IDCCA at  https://idcca.org/.
