The annual IDCCA County Chairs’ Brunch is the premiere yearly Democratic event in the State of Illinois. Every August, thousands of Democrats descend on Springfield for Democrat Day (now Governor’s Day) at the Illinois State Fair. The County Chairs’ Brunch is the morning kickoff event for all Democrats.

The IDCCA County Chairs’ Brunch is the main fundraiser for the IDCCA. The IDCCA County Chairs’ Brunch has always been more than just a fundraiser. It brings together Party Leaders, members, partners, and elected officials and hopefuls from across the state at the start of the all-important Get-Out-The-Vote efforts.
Our organization takes great pride in the annual County Chairs’ Brunch. Over the past four years, it has grown larger and more successful. Previously, this event would draw close to 1,000 participants with a high-water mark of 3,000 individuals attending in 2018.

With the assistance of lead IDCCA supporter Senator Dick Durbin, we have attracted top level elected officials including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, former Vice President Joe Biden, US Senator Amy Klobuchar, and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

About Brunch @ 6

Given the ongoing public health crisis, the IDCCA is shifting our traditional “in person” Brunch to a virtual event. The virtual event, called Brunch @ 6, will take place on Monday, August 31st at 6pm. Usually scheduled for Democrat Day / Governor’s Day at the Illinois State Fair (August 19th), this year Democrats will be tuning in that day to cheer on Vice President Joe Biden as he accepts the Democratic nomination for President. The IDCCA will follow the enthusiasm from the Democratic National Convention with the IDCCA Brunch @ 6 on August 31st.

About the IDCCA

The Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association (IDCCA) is a statewide organization formed over 50 years ago to support the political agenda of our Party through grassroots organizing, party building, and helping elect Democrats using the County Party structure. Every Democrat, everywhere counts.

Membership is comprised of Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ from all 102 Illinois counties.

The IDCCA’s mission is to build a dynamic and sustainable Democratic partnership resource organization for Illinois Democratic County Parties, to support the political agenda of the Democratic Party, to grow the Party, and to elect Democrats at every level including county, statewide, and national. Resources include training and best practices guidance to all 102 Illinois Democratic County Parties and their members.

The IDCCA’s strength is the grassroots efforts of our volunteer County Chairs and the thousands of Precinct Committeepersons (PC) serving throughout Illinois. In addition, as the largest and most active grassroots Democratic partner in Illinois, the IDCCA focuses resources for the Democratic County Parties, like those found within our Leadership Circle. The IDCCA is also able to assist with candidate recruitment and campaign assistance, as well as information sharing to engage Illinois Democrats. The IDCCA is committed to Democratic values and working toward Democratic victories.”
